These photographs are from Playa del Carmen, and Tulum, Mexico which are on the Yucatan Peninsula.

 

Playa del Carmen was previously a small fishing village that was discovered as a tourist destination due to its natural beauty and tranquility. Being in a tropical environment there often are phenomenal sunsets at times accompanied with thunderstorms.

Tulum is a Mayan settlement built between the 13th and 15th Centuries
